How I did it: I first climbed the wall in Badaling outside of Beijing. This section has been rebuilt and is for tourists. The section in Qinhuangdao was original and many of the towers were still in good condition. So many beautiful things to see. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Thanks to my generous parents I was able to visit China. One of the excursions on our itinerary was to visit The Great Wall. i climbed the great wall of china last year…it was the best experience of my life. its almost a mile up, but dont stop if you get tired…you will totally regret it. Even though I was sweaty and exhausted, my favorite picture of me is of my friend and I at the top of the great wall. its an experience like no other, and i wish that everyone could have the same chance i did. good luck!!

I already did this. It was nine years ago what I was in University. At Simitai- it was pretty undeveloped at the time. Awesome- there is a proverb posted that says “He who does not make it to the Great Wall is not a true man.” Exhausting but very worth it.
The wall seemed huge to a tiny kid. Could barely make it up some huge step ups. Beautiful, fabulous country. Great experience!
