I’m one of those people who thinks they have a really good voice when they don’t. If I could have one talent it would be singing. I’d love to have a voice like Hayley Williams or Jessica Simpson.
How to take vocal lessons
How I did it: I was truly blessed. My mother "forced" me to sing when I was only 5 years old. Now, I've been doing it for years. I've met the most wonderful people and it's a part of my daily life. Also, the fact that I'm an extremely introverted person makes vocal lessons even more worthwhile to get up on stage and express your feelings towards a bunch of strangers.
Lessons & tips: - Everyone makes mistakes, don't worry if you're voice cracks alot or if you're not on the right pitch!
- ALWAYS warm up! It wrecks your voice if you don't! :(
- Make friends with your pianist, this will strengthen you when you both perform.
- Don't drink milk right before you sing!
Resources: - All of my singing teachers!
- My mother the pianist! :)
- A binder and a music stand
- Vitamin C pills

I am going to get free lessons in september, but I may take paid lessons before.
But I am not keen on psychology, and the person that taught tried teaching certain life attitude. I would like those lessons not to be “stop being introvert” lessons. I think many rock singers are in fact introverts. I just want to enjoy singing and breathe better.

We rescheduled from the missed class. I will be taking voice and guitar every Saturday.
I will mark this and “take guitar lessons” “completed” after Saturday because guess what…. teacher, locks you in for a month at a time…. : ) Looks like I’m committed!!

was supposed to be tonight and my teacher didn’t show up!!! I tell ya! Now, how am I supposed to complete my 43things goals if she’s not participating properly? : )
I’ve been singing for awhile to myself, mostly with my music blasting in my room. I have issues singing when I hear myself because it makes me nervous. I used to be in choir, but it messed up my voice and just made me worse. I’m better at the more rock-star kind of singing than I am the head-voice choir thing. I sang in the talent show in 7th grade after I re-trained myself. I was super nervous, but after I heard myself sing through the microphone, I sounded amazing and sang out and did my best. It was a truly amazing event for myself. After I sang that day, I stopped singing for awhile, and once again, I started sucking. I’ve started practicing again here recently…and I’m getting better…but I still have issues with singing when I hear myself even when I’m alone.
I want to take vocal lessons to expand my range of notes and get better…and possibly boost my singing confidence. I live in a small town, though…and there’s nowhere nearby that I know of =[
There might be a place in the next town…or so I hope >.< My mom is supposed to look into it.

I found a place about 10 minutes from my house that gives both guitar and voice lessons. I’ve been singing and playing for years but I really just want to see how much more I can perfect my craft. Bob, the owner, is going to call me back tonight so we can set up times. ...Bob just called after I saved the post! Wednesdays at 7:30 pm it is!

I realized something this weekend. If someone gave me money in a card… I wouldn’t throw it in the garbage, or just let it sit there on the counter and do nothing with it. I’d take the money and put it towards something…. it is a gift! It is meant to be used. Not ignored or tossed to the side.
I sing and play guitar… musical talent is a gift… why would I not go ahead and develop these gifts instead of letting them sit “on the counter”...
I been taking choir since my sophomore year…it has definitely improved my voice! :)
take steps towards getting vocal lessons within 2 months of being employed after graduation
