went to central and south america, when i was young, if i would go now instead it would be diffrent, i was to youg to apreciate it..family vaccacion..
I want to marvel at our beautiful world and learn to appreciate our “neighbors” and environment.
Live in Australia, a month in Los Angeles about 10 years ago, half a year in Europe last year, and a quick stop-over in Asia (Tokyo and Hong Kong).
Going back to Asia for a longer stay at the end of next year. Hopefully visit Africa in the next couple of years…
If we’re counting Antarctica…well…no plans yet, but definitely down the line somewhere.
...but those 2 are Africa and Antarctica…might take a while. Going back to Europe in November though…will be my 4th time if I include a trip to Moscow…and with Oceania 6 months ago, that will be 3 other continents just this year (2 of them for the first time).
I’ve been privileged (and I do mean, I consider it a privilege) to go to France and the Netherlands. My main travelling companion is Dutch and has very little money. I am not rich either. BTW young Americans, if you plan and go in the off season it doesn’t cost much more to go to Europe than it does to fly across the U.S.
Anyways, I got the new-ish Lonely Planet Scandinavian Europe and since we can DRIVE from the Netherlands to Copenhagen in a day, I am trying to plan this trip. Then I noticed that Sweden is right across a bridge from Copenhagen, so I thought I’d throw in at least a day trip over there. Bonus is the drive goes through Germany, so I feel like I’m becoming a real European traveler.
Only drawback I can see is that it might be good just to spend more time in the Netherlands to work on the language there.
Still speculating.
