How I did it: I go to a lot of parties to meet new people.

I always say "hi how it's going" to people whom I recognize (It doesn't matter if you can't remember their names) it's an easy pattern that makes you seem like a friendly caring person 
Be smiley and funny (in a good manner)
Talk to people (try to find something in common or ask about their interests)

Lessons & tips: you have to make sure that you always look confident. What I mean is for example, girls might want to put some make up on, make their hair look nice, and dress up well. If you are confident from the outside, you can bring out your confidence from the inside too.

Always think positive. Think like you can be friends to everyone.

    1. Make more acquaintances. Try to strike up conversations with people you don’t know.
    2. It’s all right if they don’t become your friends, but keep your horizons broad and don’t be judgemental.
    3. But whatever you do, don’t become parasitical. Be friendly, be friends, but period there.
    That I am speaking in third-person is simply a marker of how hard I have to persuade myself to retreat from my shyness to smile and somehow saw through the ice.
