start a revolution

Hi. I’m a sophomore in high school in NY. And my homeroom is the social justice homeroom. Since the school year just, we have not some much, but we have been planning. We want to do some fundraising of course, trying to get the word out about these issues.

We have already visited the United Nations and are trying to plan trips to Washington D.C. and such. Our teacher has introduced us to some great sites such as freethechildren.com and giveyour10.com that give us ways to help people that are facing social justice issues such as child labor and human trafficking, women and children’s negligence of education, health care, etc.

I was wondering what people from other parts of the world are doing. All replies are welcome.

I decided more like had a gut feeling i was put here to help people, so i decided i would go into politics, started studying, had a revelation. I need to help people in a bigger way, faster, not just moving along through the motions of life, i have a gut feeling and im not going to stop. Listen, our fourfathers, Thomas Jefferson, Adams, Hamilton, Washington etc. would be discusted with how corrupt our government system has evolved into. The government was instilled to protect the freedom of the people, to help the people, all people not just the ones running the show.Thinking outside the box, we need to reevaluate our whole government system and the way things are done. If we are ever gonna survive as a species, or a superpower we need to be making moves fast. our planets gonna eventually burn out and global warming is not a myth, its happening i notice it everyday. Ive been waiting for someone to bring attention to the american people that things are not right.IM TIRED OF WAITING, IM GONNA HAVE TO BE THE ONE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Our country was not based upon GREED. It was based upon FREEDOM, and our rights and freedoms are being, and have been trampled on. I am lower middle class, im very smart. I am in the majority of the population of this country, lower middle class. Yet lower middle class gets the biggest shaft, not quite poor enough for complete help, but barely scraping by, and if it wernt for my parents, who are also lower middle class, yet very smart,my son and i would be homeless! my dad has his masters degree, went to berkley, american university, we are scraping by, we have always scraped by, we are not the majority of idiots, just because you dont have money does not make you dumb. we just think this is the way things are and theres nothing u can do about it, WRONG! FOLLOW ME IM STARTING THE REVOLUTION! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

I wanna ask what kind of revolution do YOU want? be specific. Tell us all what it is you are against. WHat mindframe do you want to change. I haven’t looked through all the enteries but so far the majority of what I’ve seen is people saying “YEAH REVOLUTION!!.. CHANGE THE WORLD” OK. That established… now what people?? OK That said MY revolution is to change the mainstream thought of your AVERAGE American. For those who wanna start READ the book ‘The Freedom Manifesto’ By Tom Hodgkinson. people need to STOP going to McDonalds and a movie for a date. Need to stop going to the mall for nothing better to do. NEED to STOP shopping at Walmart, Old Navy. There needs to be individual owned clothes shops, food places, etc. They can seem similar but not franchised (maybe put a limit on how many resturants a person is allowed to own. WE ARE A NATION OF THINKERS.. but the sad thing is we follow like sheep.. then go home and zombify in front of the tv. Thats where the phrase ‘Throw away your TV’ comes from.

need to open up peoples minds and make them realise that we are part of something bigger than they could comprehend,perhaps that is why they turn a blind eye??

hmmmm….gonna do some more thinking…..

the one thing i feel is that money is power….and money at the end of the day is a material thing…..money is a tool used to control the majority….and we accept it…..with help from the media…..:( (sigh)

perhaps the answer is to stop consumerism…

starting a Revolution
“sometimes the tree of liberty needs to be watered with the blood of patriots” I’m asking for any patriot who has had enough with losing our jobs, had enough just barely surviving each day off scraps, enough of losing our homes, enough of having to see their family suffer from the corruption and the dishonesty our government has prided itself on for too long. I’m one of those patriots, i recently lost my job, watched as my house was foreclosed, and had to watch as my wife and two kids left for canada to live with their 78 year old grandmother, just so they could have a roof over their heads. I, my friends, know what it feels like. and i will be damned to let anymore honest,working people have to suffer as i have. so I’m willing to do something about it.
