I had a half hour to kill before an event at the Harbor Club. I sat in the courtyard. It was late afternoon and warm and sunny, with the heat reflecting off the concrete of the planters and ground. The fountain looked cool and refreshing.
I slipped off my sandals and put down my purse on one of the metal chairs. The lip of the waterpiece was slipperier than I expected, and while it looked level from the side, it actually sloped a bit inward. So I stepped into the deeper part of the fountain, and waded around a bit.
The security guy came over and told me I had to get out. OK, but I slipped on the lip, and fell into the water. My dress got wet all the way up to my butt.
No problem – I just sat out on the hot concrete in the sun to dry. By the time my event started at the Harbor Club, my dress had completely dried out.

Maryanne I've got soul, but im not a soldier
it was my best friends 16th birthday and we we’re down in the city part of our small town. in the middle of the city there is this fountain. we saw it and jumped right in, it was so cold but so much fun. we took a million pictures and did not get in trouble.
i am quite surprised the cops didn’t see us because we were there for quite some time.
if you have the right group of people. this is a sweet goal to make.

There are a few traditions that you’re supposed to take part in before you graduate from the University of Missouri. One of them is to swim in Brady Fountain, right in the center of campus. I kept saying I’d get around to it and then all of a sudden it’s my senior year and they’re about to close it for winter. So me and a friend (aided by a few drinks) walked from downtown Columbia to the fountain where we dove in for a swim. Did I mention it was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit at the time? lol A great memory though… definitely worth doing!

The water smelled disgusting and this little girl insisted on following us and being the most annoying talkative girl ever, but it was still totally worth it to get absolutely drenched, especially as the last night of freedom of summer vacation.

952 Is tired, and content.
It was cold, but worth every second. Not the only time I’ve been in a fountain, but the most exhilarating.

ktcreole needs to get busy working on these goals!
all day sunday I was in NYC with my buddy walking around, getting drunk and taking in a show. it was a long day and I was tired so we stopped by a fountain to rest. well, what’s better on a hot day (esp. when yer drunk) than a refreshing dip? ok, so i didn’t swim in it, but I did jump in and splash around until the building’s security guard came out to yell at me… FINALLY DID IT!

So it was absolutly awesome. i was in chicago with my friedn tanya and we met these hippy guys. So this old guy was giving us a tour of the city and we were getten pretty hot. We were on our way to a protest against a war in uganda and somewhat of a support rally for those who are living in poverty there. So on our way i jumped in and it was awsome. I loved it, im so doing it again!
