I have started working out again. My workouts are based around the four key principles of this goal.
So far so good.

My idea body weight is 150-175 lbs. A little heavier than the ideal but I like that weight.
The parts of my body I am most concern with at the moment is my back and my midsection. These two areas are the parts that are the center and starting point for every other body part. At this time they are the weakest areas of my body.
My second priorty is my legs. I use them every day and want them to be as strong as they can possibly be. I want them to be able to withstand my weight and then some.
My arms are my final priority because I want to make tone them and make them strong enough to support my weight. This is going to take time.

I am a big fan of Ultimate Fighting. This year I learned about a fighter name Tito Ortiz. I got to watch him train some potiental fighters, watch him in action and learn about how he keeps in shape.
I am now a very big fan of his because I respect his worth ethic. This guy is strong and has endurance.
Matt Hues is another fighter I like. He is strictly technique and power.
Watching these two in action is like poetry in motion. Beautiful. It is a living example of all the elements I want to learn and be able to do.
I realize that you can’t have one type of strength without the other. You can be strong and have no stamina. You can’t live alone with power without endurance. It’s like a circle. Each one needs the other.
I like the idea of being in tune with your body to a point that you don’t ever have to second guess it. If you need to run , you know you can run long and hard if the situation warranted it.
I like this type of quiet strength.

I worked out with some pretty heavy weights to test myself. My husband was amazed at the weight I can lift now. I was doing squats, dead lifts and curls with 60 pound weights.
I haven’t been to physical therapy for a week because I am having issues with breathing and allergies.

For the past two months I have been doing modified pushups. I have just started doing the same modified pushups except on small medicine balls.
Wow..
Ouch….
I am so amazed how one added element can completely change this exercise. But I am doing it.
I can now hold my self in a standard push up and get 1/2 down without dropping to the fall like a bag of bricks. I can do the four half pushups in a row.

At my last physical therapy session my trainer decided to put me on the elliptical machine instead of on the treadmill and trampoline.
I was a bit nervous at first but once I got the movement down it felt pretty good. My knee didn’t hurt and I was able to do the entire 10 minutes non-stop.
