Worth doing!
I rode it for the first time yesterday, with the kind help of directions from the friend that I was going to meet. While we sat for coffee, we tried to go over the subway map for my first general lesson and it is SO overwhelming. It’s massive! I do think that I understand a bit better how to pick trains and such, but not knowing the city [yet] is more than a small hinderance…

I can’t believe we did that. Letting eleven year olds ride by themselves, this was the pre-gentrified NYC of the 70s-80s too!
