Yay! I submitted my application yesterday after MANY hurdles. Could not find my birth certificate so I had to order a new one (although this process was SO EASY. I apprecitated that. I had it within 2 days, I ordered it via fax). Then I came to submit my application only to find they were not taking anymore for the day you have to come in the early a.m. to get on the list. So I came back, got on the list at 8:30am and shortly thereafter they closed the list. I didn’t get out until after NOON. My back was hurting!! I submitted everything and I feel a huge weight off my shoulders. I’m traveling internationally for the first time as an adult in July. Yesssssss! 4 days ago

There is no place to obtain or turn in a passport application in my hometown, but I did pay to get my passport photos taken today when I got my driver’s license photo taken. I may need to wait to apply for my passport once I get my new address, as it will not be forwarded, and I hope to move within a month’s time. 1 month ago

How I did it: I finally went to get my passport. It was less scary than I thought it
would be. I figured they would be crazy with security, but I just went
to my local post office. When I first when up to the counter the lady
just said “you have the application filled out already?” I looked at
her blankly and said no… so she had to go get the application for me
and I went out to fill it out. You just need your birth certificate, ID
(and a photocopy of the ID to give to them). And make sure you know
your social security number (that’s something I always forget). The
rest is just basic information. I got my photo taken at the post
office. I’m very glad I finally went to get it. The whole thing for me
cost $116 (with photos) but the prices really vary. Read how I did it… 3 years ago

I finally applied for my passport today! I drove about an hour to the Arlington Post Office and it was well worth the drive! It was the fastest and friendliest service I have ever had at any government agency. I put in all the paperwork, paid all my fees, and I should be receiving my passport in 7 to 10 days (expedited). YAY! 3 months ago

Okay, so my application is completely filled out (although should I add the pic should I not add the pic was confusing.) They list not to add or sign it until I turn it in. My goal is to have it turned in by tomorrow over lunch break. Hopefully this goes smoothly. I need to gather my paperwork tonight (birth certificate). I can get this done! 3 months ago

Okay…I didn’t get the app off last week but I did get my passport photo done at Walgreens. It was $11 and some change but at least it’s done. Next goal is to have the application filled out by Friday. 3 months ago

I was so nervous that something would go wrong or that somehow I couldn’t really have one, but I have one! I look very international on my photo too. =) 3 months ago

this year.
I’ve been waiting to get one until I had reached my goal weight.
While I’m not there yet, I feel like I’m finally committed enough to be successful. Then, it’s passport time! 3 months ago

I went online to fill out the app but ran into a hiccup. I do have an old passport from when I was like 2 years old. I have to find it in the house so I can complete the app. I’ll do this tonight or tomorrow. I’d like to at least have it sent off this week. No procrastination. Already have the money for it but still need a picture too. 3 months ago

I tracked down the nearest facilities, the application forms I need (it’s a replacement passport, so a bit more complicated than normal), and read all the guidelines and tutorials on proper passport photos, as well as researched the fees. As I’m an amateur photographer, I plan to take my own passport photograph. Getting to a place where I can print off and fill out the forms will be the next step, then taking and printing off the photo, then making a trip to the facility to turn it in once I’ve got the $165 I’ll need to get it processed. 3 months ago
