can't work any other goal until nanowrimo is finished.
using it is… interesting, mostly the inserting and emptying. but i’ve only been using it this week and tampons took some getting used to also. overall i like it. i like not have to worry about leaks or not having something with me. it’s also discreet because you don’t have to lug around a bag full of tampons. and yay environment and my wallet!

I bought it on my work break and brought it into the staffroom to show my friend, which lead to my friend sharing it with another coworker… Now all the women at work are so interested and can’t wait for me to get my period so that I can tell them how it goes. Hopefully all goes well, and more women will be hooked.
I love the little bag fabric bag and diva pin it comes with, they’re a cute touch. Also, the lady at the store told me to keep the receipt, because there is a one year trial period during which you can return it if you’re not happy with it, so you can buy with confidence:)

Haven’t really had the chance to ‘put it through it’s paces’ yet…

Worth doing, for sure!
Ironically, I got mine when I was pregnant, and expected to use it postpartum, but my midwife said that only pads should be used after a birth.
So far my youngling has pretty much kept my cycles from full out returning (he loves his boobies!) but I have my divacup for when they do.
I don’t even refer to cups as “alternatives”; it’s the pads and tampons that are the alternatives in my opinion.

i’ve been using one for about 4 years now. the money is worth it. think how much you spend on pads and tampons in a year.

is working on a quote for a project
The DivaCup is a great alternative to chlorine (and other chemicals) filled menstrual hygiene products. Better for the environment and for my health, so it was an easy decision to make!
I also bought washable organic cotton pads to use when I didn’t feel like using the cup, so it’s great!

I switched over 3 years ago and Love it. My best friend and sister love their Divacups too.
Our local health food store now carries the divacup so it is even easier to buy.

I got one!
I think it works great!
I want to donate all the rest of my leftover tampons to a women’s shelter I think… I wonder if they take them…..

It’s more for the environment/sustainability than for convenience/me.
I always have trouble getting it out. But I admit, it’s pretty cool.
(And I like the little drawstring baggy, too, Julie).
