stop loving my ex

My girlfriend wants a break, we have been going out for six years, and went on a break a week ago! yesturday was going to be my six year anniversary. It was a bad ,bad day!
I still love her so much, and want her to be happy! So i accept the break, but it is killing me! I am so unhappy and i have noone to tell,How can i get over her so i can ensure i am her friend and that i dont continue to hurt her!

My ex and I went out for like a week and we decided we needed to break it off b/c we didn’t really know each other. Well we talked for ever and ever and we started liking each other again and we were about to go out and one of my friends and him run into each other and started talking about going out but it will be ok b/c I will get over him one day. I just thought he was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I cared about him so much and he turned around and did that. There was nothing I couldnt tell him. He would understand anything. And to add to everything he is one of my best friends cousins. So she would get mad if I ever said anything to her bad about him.
