Sell at a car boot sale

Did the car boot sale today. Dragged all the children out of bed at 7am so we could get to the site by 8am. Thankfully my parents were doing it as well so we had neighbouring pitches which meant the children could play between both.

It was worth doing in terms of getting rid of stuff but I’m glad I wasn’t looking to make my fortune out of it! No-one was prepared to pay much for anything so I just ended up asking nominal amounts to get rid of stuff! Still brought far too much home though :-( There were loads of stalls there today so maybe we just picked a bad day.

I’d certainly give it another go though as it is a good way of getting rid of unwanted things.

A new site for car boot sales has recently started up near me. I’m going to visit it next week to see what it is like with a view to having a pitch in a few weeks. In preparation, I cleared out the childrens’ wardrobes of their outgrown clothes today!

This will probably have to wait until spring as I don’t fancy getting up early in the winter! A friend did one recently and managed to get rid of a lot of stuff, plus made about £80 into the bargain, so it can’t be bad! She’s offered to come with me so we can have pitches next to each other to keep company. This should then help me with my declutter target!
