I attended the first class of “The Main Course” a 5-week cooking class I signed up for. Words don’t come close to describing how wonderful this class is. The teacher goes into the experience of food, not just throwing things together. Really experiencing each ingredient and thinking about what it brings to the whole. I never actually expected these cooking classes o be in alignment with my life values but what a wonderful experience to see that it does. Add to that my love of cooking and its quite profound.

I signed up for 7 cooking courses at my local cooperative. I am excited about it. Also plan to enroll in a similar course in Cannon Beach.

So I think I will spend some time creating that menu this week. Never done it before but will see where it goes.
I read a short book recently called Red Rubber Ball. Its all about following your passion. I didn’t learn anything new but the author’s stance, tone and attitude are marvelous. Wish I had some of that. Maybe I can create it.
Anyway, owning my own restaurant is the dream that comes closest to the kind of passion he describes. Still doesn’t seem to be quite the intensity he talks about but that’s where I’m at.
So there you have it!

The first step is to create the menu.
Sound silly? Not at all. It is the beginning of a very logical sequence of events that work toward that restaurant.
