Creative Visualization Meditations by Shakti Gawain 6 months ago

I picked up a copy of Creative Visualization Meditations (audio version) http://www.allconsuming.net/item/view/121334 from the library based on the recommendations of others on here (thanks)! Isn’t the library great?

Must. Start. Visualizing... being more consistent! ha ha 6 months ago

I’ve actually been less consistent in recent weeks than I was previously as I was travelling. On average, I seem to be doing this just over half the time. Now that I’m home, more effort into getting back on track is required!

Just keep trying 23 months ago

To keep practicing positive visualization, because the sun will rise tomorrow and you never know what will wash up on the shore.

Really want to do this 2 years ago

Of course, life gets in the way. 40 hours a week on the job makes it hard Mon to Fri, drinking on the weekends makes it impossible. I’m on the quit drinking list also, and the write a novel list. So I’m trying to use creative visualization to help with those: Trying to visualize myself sober and writing every day until I have a book.
By the way,Catherina, the Abraham Hicks books you mentioned are awesome. I got Ask and It is Given a few months ago. It’s taking me time to get through and sink in, which is odd as I am a very fast reader, but I feel really good about it. I am going to look for the other one you mentioned, too.

This is getting bigger and better every day!!! 2 years ago

After just two months I’ve accomplished things I never thought were reasonably possible, but now I don’t question anything :) If you happen to read this by “coincidence” follow your intuition and read Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain, or the Abraham Hicks books, or The Secret DVD. You’ll soon be amazed by the Law of Attraction, your life will change…

Without Knowing 2 years ago

I have being doing a bit of Creative Visualization without knowing. Having positive thoughts and using them to visualize the next step in my life have helped me a lot. I am more content with what I am doing right now, but already have visualized what I want next.

It's what this site is all about! 2 years ago

43Things is about visualizing the life you want, crystallizing those thoughts into words and putting them out there for others to see and respond to, thereby enhancing adhersion to those goals.
I’ve always done this to some extent, but somewhat haphazardly. It wasn’t until this past year, when I saw The Secret and began implementing its principles in my life on a regular and consistent basis, that it all came together for me.
Creative Visualization works because of the Law of Attraction, which is the most powerful force in the universe. We are all magnets, and when you bring your thoughts and your emotions into alignment with what you want ON A REGULAR AND CONSISTENT BASIS, you attract it into your life. But if your thoughts and emotions are on autopilot, simply responding to what already is, then that’s what you will attract more of.

Creative Visualization 2 years ago

I first heard about Creative Visualization when I was considering taking a job as a manager. It was on my goal list to reach by the time I was 30. I thought I was a bit young for it, but the opportunity was there and I really wanted to take that next step.

As usual, I had to search around for books to help me. Along with all the books about actually being a manager, I ran across a comment about Creative Visualization. I bought a book, read it and sat down to put it in practice. That was in 1988. I’ve been using it ever since.

Whenever there’s anything happening that requires a decision (of course after doing all the proper things to determine the correct course) I will stop and picture myself doing the various options and even more importantly picture myself after I’ve done them. Expecially at work, I will picture myself in a meeting explaining why we did things that way. Will I be embarrassed if it fails? As I explain it do I feel like I did enough leg work ahead of time to reach the optimal solution?

It also has the benefit of reducing stress because basically I am putting myself in a “meditative” state. If you do it after you have filled your brain with all the facts, even if you don’t consciously remember them all, then it can be similar to dreaming in that your brain pops up with ideas seemingly out of nowhere.

It works for me!

Very good on this... 2 years ago

Yesterday I finished Creative Visualization Audiobook, by Shakti Gawain. And finally took the time to do some of the exercises, I have my visualization workbook, and really take the time to write in it… Net, this is really working, everything I have visualized came to me…Creative visualization was what got me to 43things.com and I’m so happy for having found a website where I can track my goals or my simple “desires” :)
