My friends and I are starting up an NPO. Next summer, if possible, or the one after that for sure, we want to take this shizz on the road and go on a festival tour. It’d be amazing… we may even have it figured out how to do it!! So, here’s to adventure.

How to live on the road
How I did it: I bought a backpack, some camping stuff, picked a direction, and started walking that way. In eight days, I travelled 300 miles plus, went RV camping without an RV, and found out that it is Illegal to walk on the interstate.
Lessons & tips: Just go, follow your instinct.
Resources: Camping stuff. Beenie Weenies.

it’s pretty easy to do, and very rewarding (if you’re tough). just quit your job (you should do that anyway), put a change of clothes, a sleeping bag, and a journal in a pack, put your boots on yer dogs, and stick your thumb out. or i guess you could drive your own damn car, but that sucks.

Due to my rigorous travel schedule, I gave up my apartment in NYC, put my stuff in storage in my sister’s place, and have been pretty much living out of my suitcases ever since.
The nice thing about it on top of all the money I save in rent is the simple fact that I can’t have too much stuff. Therefore, I don’t worry about losing it; it’s quite nice. Talk about practicing non-attachment…
