I used to listen for hours to a Richar Clayderman audiotape when i was a little boy, learing to play an instrument always sounded cool, but nothing beats the piano for a beautiful sound in my opinion…
How I did it: I didn't bother to get piano lessons but I practiced hard every single day. People had always said I had a musical ear and my sister could play piano.
Lessons & tips: Practice hard, maybe not every day, but any time you can get a chance. Don't get stressed about it, take it at ease and if you don't want lessons, try teach yourself.

I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the piano. I remember growing up and my friends not being able to play after school because they had to go to their piano lessons. Oh how badly I wanted to go too. I’m just waiting until I can afford them now. I’m almost 30.
lesliepha has so much to plan for.
I’ve had a piano for 10 years now but never learned how to play it. I know. Kinda pathetic… I figured since I had some free time rite now, it would be the best time to learn. Where should I start? Any tips and cheap piano lessons?
I have always had an affinity for music and I enjoy singing. Learning how to play the piano would be the cherry on top for me.
I am amazed that I still remember most of my piano classes from 2.5 years ago. I picked up the pieces all the way to Cafe Vienna.
I don’t know how long before I can continue to learn and finish book 1. The plan is to finish all 3 course books, and then I will consider this goal achieved.
So I have basically no income right now, but I have been browsing digital pianos. It seems that there are a couple quite decent ones in the 800-900 dollar range. Anyone have advice on Digital Pianos?

I bought a keyboard with a Christmas gift card a couple years ago, but when I moved I misplaced the power adapter. I’ve found one that works (but I need to go buy a better one) and I’ve been sort of practicing some songs. Since i have no real background, I’ve started with chopsticks. I’ve got the right hand down and part of the left hand down. I’m having a hard time thinking of how I’d be able to do both hands at the same time. I suppose i need to get real good with each hand, and then start trying to put both together.
I’ve been playing around with a couple other songs too. If I know the song, I find it easier to learn how to play it. I’m sticking with slow songs for now too.
It’s a lot of fun sitting there and just enjoying the music. I’ve found it really helps to clear my mind because I have to be thinking about the music.
I’m not very good at it, but I have learned and have performed on the piano in front of a group of people.
haha. It was amazing!
txncupcake is feeling better...Wooohooo!
This goal will be more attainable now that my hubby bought me a dp for my bday…yayyyy! So I have just purchased music sheets, and now I need to find a tutor. :)

Putting this one on hold. Not feasible right at the moment, but I will definitely revisit this one later!
