I still haven’t studied more. I’m really getting lazy at this point. I have discovered that I really need to study math—I’ve been away from it for so long I’ve forgotten most of it. Scary!

Or maybe I should just be lazy and not do that. Because THAT sounds like a good idea. I have studied for the vocabulary portion of the test. It doesn’t seem that difficult, but I probably need to work on the math. I haven’t had math in 4 years, and I’ve forgotten most of it. >.< I thought I was lucky to have a major without math requirements, but looking back on it, I’m not entirely sure…

Since, I am not in a financial situation to go back to school, and have to start paying back student loans, maybe in the next year I can focus on prepping for the GRE. Almost like school, but in the long run, it might help me out towards scholarships or better programs?
I used to be really good at standardized testing and my brother owns an SAT prep business, but I am so out of practise! My ten year highschool reunion is coming up in 2 months, and a lot of them already have PhD’s, go figure. I’d like to have something to say about what I’m working towards, or at least feel like my vocabulary can keep up. I know I have a high vocabulary, but that’s compared to people working in early childhood education… and so that’s really not a good gauge.
I plan on going out west to visit brothers soon, so maybe they can workshop me!

I got:
6/6 (96th percentile) on the analytical
87th percentile on the verbal
60th percentile on the quantitative (which I honestly thought I would do the best in).
The course I applied to said successful students typically get in the 90th percentile (‘with some notable exceptions’).
I didn’t get into that course (guess I wasn’t a notable exception), but then got a letter from the university inviting me to apply for a different course, which I DID get into.
So I guess it all worked out in the end.
