I didn’t get my car shampooed, but I did get it cleaned out pretty good, and, more importantly, got all the maintenance tasks done. I made it up to South Dakota problem-free in good time. 7 months ago

My car had a little setback (see photo), so progress on this goal has been slow. I finally got the car back from the shop this afternoon, with oil changed, alternator bearings replaced, new oil sensor. SO…things are getting back on track…

Got the inside windows washed and the interior wiped down. Tomorrow when I go to town I will:

a. do some more of a test drive to assure myself it’s running well;
b. get rid of the recycling that did not get left at the curb this a.m. because the car wasn’t here;
c. wash the car;
d. vacuum and maybe shampoo the interior; 7 months ago

I have a road trip planned for the week after next, so need to get my car ready. First thing on the agenda is to find out why some kind of alarm under the hood of my car went off in the middle of the night last night this morning. When the alarm finally stopped (and not before) there was a strong electrical burning smell which kind of waned and waxed for awhile.

SO…off to my trusty local garage it goes on Monday to see what’s what. And if everything checks out OK, then it will be time for an oil change. 7 months ago
