I just discovered a new move. I’m sure it’s not really new, but it’s new to me. It’s a multiplex split in one hand, with a quick pass (I believe it’s known as a 2 in site-swap) right down the middle that also serves as a snatch of the inside ball of the split. The outside ball can either go to the other side, setting up a mirror of the starting position, or be a self, in which case it’s back where it started. In that case, it’s sort of like what Dancey calls a “hop”, the only real difference is that the passed ball goes in between the split and the inside ball is caught in the same motion as a snatch. This is good training for me, since I’m really bad at snatching, for some reason.
