There are so many different types of coffee houses in the Northwest – it’s fun to find your favorite places to stop and grab thee ideal cup o’ joe. Be it funky, trendy, classic, or just a drive thru espresso stand…
Coffee saturates the area – trying to envision Seattle without coffee is impossible.
Of course, I’m a total coffee addict (yet far, far from a connesieur), so grabbing a latte at someplace new is always an adventure. So many people have different ideas of what coffee houses SHOULD be… it’s easy to find a variety of places to visit.
in the middle of the most chaotic growing up, music suddenly appeared. it sounded like nothing before, and it defined part of me. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden .. There seemed to be some magic in Seattle which these bands tuned into, and broadcasted to the world. For a while, the sound of Seattle followed me everywhere. To parties, on snowboardtrips, to concerts and on roadtrips.
Then came the movie, Singles. It gave us a glimpse of the cool Seattle, with coffee shops and a concert scene so unlike anything within my reach. A lot of my friends went to live in Seattle for a while, and they brought back fantastic memories and friends. I could never go, and allthough I know that the time has passed, I still would like to go there and drink a coffee. if not for anything but to fulfill an old dream.
