Reading screen copy was going pretty slow. Got yesterday paper book from library.

I want to read sicp to improve my knowledge about scheme.
Now I’ve started to read 4 section.
I like this goal because it’s specific enough to be achievable, but I don’t ever seem to get to it because it conflicts with several other goals. I’m going to keep this one, but I’ll have to work on it in conjunction with some others by working through SICP in Ruby and Erlang.
Well, my teammate got very busy and I got lazy and the net result is 6 months and no progress on this goal. Maybe it is time for us to restart.
The text is available at:

and video lectures can be downloaded from:

NOTE: for the best video quality I prefer the DivX encoded files but they ARE over 500MB in size. The Mpeg versions are 1/4 the size. YMMV.
For a suitable Windows-based GUI scheme environment, I use:
DrScheme, version 352, english by PLT

I have some notes from lecture #1 on my blog at:

Pat has convinced me to set some minor goals on the way to completing Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs together. The first goal is to get the development environment installed. We have agreed to complete it by Monday, September 11th.
