Actually, there were others in between but this seemed like a good one to mark my completion. I am extremely glad to have done this and I may decide to set another freecycling goal in the future. Hooray for getting rid of stuff that I don’t need!

7 – Monitor – used in the past, but hadn’t been used for several years.
8 – Two bottles of sparkly lotion
9 – Hairdryer – used in the past but I got a new one at Christmas and so this one had been unused for 6 months.
Ok – this actually left the house via Craigslist and not Freecycle but the one Freecycle reply I received fell through, so I thought I’d give Craigslist a whirl. M came and picked it up yesterday evening. That’s one less thing sitting in the way in the ‘dining room’. :)
Had it sitting around in my basement and have been wanting to give it away, but I needed to wipe and reload the hard drive first because I used it for business before. Stephen’s posting for “Wanted: middle aged computer” provided the impetus and I promised him that I would drag it up and do the job. It took a couple of weeks from first contact but he finally came today to pick it up and my house is now lighter by one computer. I am planning to move soon, so I am now counting these ventures as one less thing to move as well!
These were originally two posts and went together to Cathy as well. I think that if I ever saw her place it would feel like deja vu!
This was a popular offering as well, with nearly 10 responses. Cathy was first in and so I gave it to her. She picked it up off my front porch.
I can’t believe this is number 40 already!! Wow!
I forgot that Anna was coming by tonight but fortunately I was home when she came. These items were surprisingly difficult to get rid of. It seems that the practical stuff is less popular than the items that I think nobody will want. I was glad to finally make the connection and move the items on.
I keep finding more things to let go of, which has been wonderful. Theresa surprised me by arriving earlier than planned to pick this stuff up. She was driving a school bus.
Another entry in the category of “things I thought I’d get around to doing”, which is becoming increasingly popular for freecycling. It’s so liberating to know that I will never do these things, and whatever psychic space they were occupying is now free. The space in my basement is now free too, and I hope that Jennifer and her daughter are able to enjoy learning how to sew.
This was a large mirror with a chipped corner that I had intentions to do something with. The best part about letting go of this stuff is that I am also letting go of future “projects” hanging over my head. April came and was quite pleased with it. It will be happy in its new home, I’m sure.
