ihaveshoos is sorry for being an *utter* flake recently
I need to patch my jeans up a bit but keep losing the motivation. I’ve got fabric (bright pink!) and thread but I never seem to remember when I have five minutes spare. So I shall commit to fixing them, if only because I’m fed up of wearing huuuuge pants to cover the hole in the back…
...never let it be said I’m not a classy lassy.

I sent my 2 year old Juicy Couture jeans and 3 year old Seven For All Mankind jeans to the alteration and now they fit me perfectly (the were too loose after I lost some weight). What would I do without my tailor hehe. Mission accomplished yay!

Well I was trying to find something, anything, robert proof, since my boyfriend is constantly ripping his jeans. Can’t afford to buy new ones every 3 months or take them in to have 20 holes repaired. I’ve searched the internet. Nothing, but a woman from Texas showing how to repair a hole with a patch and a zigzag stitch. is there something better?

Last Wednesday, I got together with a bunch of friends to do some sewing. I brought a pair of jeans that I had ripped all over on one side from biking and stuff. One of my friends taught me how to sew and I managed to fix a rip down the side and sew back together a part over the knee. They’re a bit tighter on that side now, but it sure beats doing a special jig when trying to walk around with them.

Bad idea when I asked my mother to give the jeans to the sewer. I gave some instructions and, there, my mother give another ones. The pants are alright, better than before, but not like I asked (and I have to pay for it anyway). So, if you want something well done, do it yourself, don’t asked anyone to do for you. And I still looking for my perfect jeans (these ones are old, they will be only for classes…).
(Help please: I am really in doubt if the right word to someone that sew is sewer. Coz I know the sewer has another meaning.)

... I’d like to fix the ones I already have. Maybe a fixed old jeans will turn in a perfect one I’m searching for. And in a much cheaper price.
I was marking them in the leg to send them to the sewer. I think I’ll go in her house in the lunch time. Maybe I can complete this goal this evening or tomorrow, depending when she will give me the pants back :)
In these rainy days, it horrible get the pants wet in the leg going to the classes :/ I don’t know why I didn’t fix them just when I bought them.

$8 to fix a tear in a $40 pair of jeans, seems like a good thing to me! I get to pick them up today! YAY me…
