I am really glad I didn’t completely blow this off…

because it’s getting really fucking good.

The sad part is that yesterday I read 20 pages… and that may have been the biggest chunk I have managed to read in one sitting so far.

Pitiful. But this does bring me to page 123. Slowly, but surely. Slowly but surely.

    20 pages. 2 years ago

I get distracted very, very easily. This was actually the first personal challenge I had and…failed. I’ve skimmed the last 20 pages, even, I just need to read them.

I’ve finished reading The Fountainhead last night. I’m really really happy I read this book because I love all the ideas that Ayn Rand presents. =) I’m glad I read it at my own pace and at a time when I felt ready for it. I couldn’t have appreciated it otherwise. To all those who wish to read this book, all I can say is, please take your time, read at your own pace and don’t force yourself if you’re not ready for it yet. =)

    halfway-through. yay. 2 years ago

I’ve started reading this book again and I must say I’m in the right frame of mind for it now. They say, the truth comes to you when you’re ready, and I’m ready for this book now. I’m just so happy I didn’t force myself to finish reading this just for the sake of reading it or else I wouldn’t have appreciated it as much as I do now..

Read when you have long days of relaxation and time to ponder on your existence. 3 years ago

How do you achieve fulfilment? Do you act based on how you think people would view you? Do you march to your own beat? Which is more important to you.. your ideas & emotions or other peoples perception of them and their standards of achievement?

The book advocates the importance of the individual versus the “group think” of the collective. Thought-provoking philosophy.Be sure to read Atlas Shrugged also. I found that it was more exciting!
Be sure to take this on when you have free time. It is obviously very long!
