see more concerts

I went to two concerts during one week, puh! And I think, I can sign this goal as finished. I really really like the music and the atmosphere but the masses of people at the concerts, puh this was too crowded for me. Now I’m getting old, I know. But let me explain. Last week we heard Depeche Mode – great concert but with over 70.000 people – thats something! And all of them are going to leave at the same time and with the same train as you do. arrrrggghhh. And yesterday we went to see Keane. I already was at two concerts of the band and they were really really great. But this time they chose a smaller location as before. and this was nerving because there was no room for dancing or moving at all – and the heat! puh. it seems that I’m an old lady now but okay… this goal is finished :)

I’ll go to two concerts during the next two weeks =) at first we will see Depeche Mode open Air (everytime again a really great show) Hoping they’ll play. And in the week after that I’ll go to see Keane. This will be also a great evening with my friends. In July I think about to drive to big festival in the south of the country. When I would do that, I can sign this goal as “finished” =)

Saw Stephen Lynch on May 5th 2009 at the Wiltern

Last Thursday I went out to see KEANE live again. And it was great. I had a incredible night. I loved the music, the dancing. At the same time I was relaxed and excited. Great!

Now I’m thinking about to go to the concert of Anne Clark in the end of November, too. But I only know some of her songs. So, maybe it can be very fascinating or only boring. Some of my colleagues will see her, maybe I could join them… I think I’ll decide that, when I hear the price for the tickets ;)

Next week Racoon, 19th of February Yeasayer, both in Nijmegen. 27th of February Air Traffic, Utrecht.

The concerts i have been goin to have only made me want to go to more!! Just recently saw the yound wild things tour. LOVED Gym Class Heroes. i really do feel like anyone who hasnt seen them live is really missing out! I want to go see Lupe Fiasco in NY and Im just gonna hope that it can work out with me and my sisters finals. But i decided with doing stuff like this i just gotta do it and “throw myself in the deep end” like Hey Chris says lol. It would also be cool to find others around me that wanna go to concerts too. but im not gonna let that stop me…..

Went to the Editors last week!! Great stuff, especially the second setlist.
Wednesday Bloc Party, reaaally looking forward to that one. Was jumping up and down for most of the day when I bought the tickets!

i saw a band called “cute as a button” friday night. my neck kinda hurts from headbanging. im going to try and go to the seether-breaking benjamin cooncert at the bell county expo november 10.

Went to Air Traffic, who surprised me positively!!
Coldplay when they were still good, meets Muse, meets good indie Britrock. :) Very impressive! And I liked the enthousiasm of the lead singer.

Anyway, I’m not about to write a review of all the concerts I’ve been to. But I’m working on my goal, very intensively. After Air Traffic on Thursday I visited a real nice Dutch band singing Spanish music, called Raffa. They played at our university cafe, and entrance was for free.
I should do those kind of concerts more often as well!

And yesterday, a more or less surprise visit to Tom McRae.
Beautiful music, simply beautiful. Guitar, piano and cello. And a absolutely stunning voice. You have to see it to believe it. Check it out on youtube ;)

I found out that my hometown, Nijmegen, is full of these cool and interesting concerts, all the time!! So, see more concerts!

I cannot deny I’m working very hard on this on the moment.
