plumcheeks (Sara) Poppy, my furbaby is my spazo of joy
On Friday I looked on Petfinder.com and there was this cute little guy. I couldn’t resist. I left work early and drove as fast as I could to the animal hospital that he was at. My boyfriend went to my place to pick up the cat carrier (just in case) and met me there. We both fell in love with him. So I took him home as my baby.
His name is Poppy and he’s about 9 weeks old. He’s so adorable! He’s all active, playful and spazo for about an hour and then he sleeps for about an hour. The past two nights he slept on my shoulder/chest and we slept for 6 hours then he woke up; ate, peed, played, pooped, played some more and then we went back to bed for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Yesterday we took him to Pet Supplies Plus, in his carrier and everyone was loving him and he was having fun looking at the birds and fish. I bought him more toys and a gigantic cat scratcher. I feel like I need to buy him more. Like some activity toys he can play with when I’m not home so he doesn’t get himself into any trouble. Also, something he wants to chew on because he wants to bite hard on my fingers and I always can’t move my fingers fast enough. Also, he loves to snuggle my neck and in my hair but sometimes he’ll bite my nose, lips and neck. Ouch! I need to teach him not to do that!
Oh, also I’ve been reading about how unhealthy most dry cat foods are. How they have way too much carbohydrates in them, even the more expensive kinds like Iams. So I did some research and found a very low carb dry food at Pet Smart, EVO. It costs $20.00 for a 6 pound bag but I’ll pay for it. If anyone wants to read about how dry cat food isn’t the best kind of food to feed or cat (it’s just the most convienent), read here.
Oh! I hear noise! I think he’s awake again! Time to go play!
