I picked one up at the grocery store today, now all I need to do is assemble it! Not til Thanksgiving at the earliest though, but I’m excited!
BouncyBrittonie Has made 50 Heart Shaped Fudge biscuits for sale at work!
How I did it: Very very slowly. I only had one oven and one sort of tray which I could use because everything else was being used to cook dinner! I invited my friend Rachael to come and make it with me and we turned it into a masterpiece! .. Not as good as the ones I make at work but it looked oh so family like! We used smarties and MNM's and royal icing (i stole works recipe >D). Read how I did it…
How I did it: We made our gingerbread house from scratch. The gingerbread turned out awesome! We made a big batch of dough using a whopping five cups of flour (and it didn't even make that big of a house), rolled it out and cut it into the shapes we needed--we just used the typical two rectangles for the roof, two rectangle sides and two pieces with a point to hold up the roof. After letting the gingerbread dry/cool overnight, it was time to… Read how I did it…
How I did it: We bought a kit and then basically destroyed it with decorations. The icing was really thick and didn't spread hardly at all. It turned out really weird, but it was a lot of fun. Read how I did it…
Karen is in Texas visiting mom. :)
How I did it: We bought a cheap "make your own" from Wal Mart, an impressive nine dollars.Andrew (best friend) decorated one side, I decorated the other. My side features a Gummi Bear Icarus flying too close to the sun, a Funfetti cloud, a peppermint flower, and Daedelus trapped inside of the Sun's igloo or his own maze, whatever makes more sense.Andrew's side has the moon with a gummi bear stranded on it, and stars. I decided it needed somethign extra… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Greg and I went all out by buying two gingerbread houses. We cut pieces and combined the two buildings to make a really nice mansion. One side of it is Halloween themes, but the other side has a beach theme (palms trees, lounge chairs, etc). Our house SO beat Nicole and Sam's house haha. Read how I did it…

I made a few gingerbread houses when I was a kid, and now that I have a toddler I think it would be fun to spend some time this year getting messy and making a non-perfect gingerbread house with her.
Anyone have some ideas for decorating that aren’t pure sugar? I’m thinking raisins, maybe some little broccoli trees. :)
Kirstie Fitzgerald couldn't be happier with her life
Okay, so technically Georgia and I didn’t make it. But that’s only if you want to be technical. We went to IKEA and bought a $2.50 Gingerbread house and decorated it :)
That’s about as close to making a gingerbread house as I’m ever going to get :)
Last time my mum and I tried to make a gingerbread house it collapsed because we were too impatient for it to cool, so it crumbled. XD
So this time, we bought a kit and all you have to do is decorate it. Maybe this time it won’t explode. hehe

..my brothers and I have made gingerbread houses for Christmas, except the past couple..but I kept on makin’ them! I’ve dragged my significant other into making them with me as well! They always turn out awesome though, despite what the boyfriend thinks!!!

well elle and i were going to do this last christmas and the christmas before and we never got around to it.. and by christmas 2008 she might have moved away :/. but i’m hoping perhaps she won’t have, or she can come visit and we’ll do it then. i’m REALLY going to do it this year. i spose it doesn’t have to be at christmas but it kind of does, really.
I did this with my mom and my sister this past Christmas. We used a kit, which made it easy. My mom is more creative than my sister and I…she made the melted snowman. Maybe next year I’ll make one from scratch.
