    Freaking. Amazing.

If you haven’t seen it, you need to, because…whew.

    Completely worth it.

We got the tickets today! 16 months ago

    Yay!

I've got tickets! 17 months ago

8:00 pm on Mar. 13th, in San Antonio. I have no idea who the performers are, but I’m excited anyways. Woot!

Since I’m more likely to see this on tour than on Broadway, I went ahead and changed this goal to say “on stage”. When I do finally check this off I don’t want to confuse people into thinking I’ve been to New York or something.

I just don’t really care anymore. My priorities have changed.

It seems that Phantom will be going to San Antonio in February/March next year, and while it may not be ON Broadway, it’s good enough for me.

    Eeee, I can’t wait!

    Someday! 21 months ago

Actually, I would be quite happy just to watch it on tour.

But someday I would like to go to New York, and since there are several musicals I really want to see, I would just have to stick around for a bit and watch them all!

I saw it in San Fransisco 3 years ago

when I was about 13 or 14. I saw it with Sarah Brightman as Christine. It was amazing. I LOVED it. We didn’t have the greatest seats, but still the show took my breath away. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see it again. Didn’t you love the movie, it seemed to me like watching it on stage, but with the BEST seats in the house!

    Looking back 3 years ago

I can remember when I was growing up turning up the phantom of the opera soundtrack… yes the one with sarah brightman… drowning out my mom in the background… and still today i am imagining how cool it would be to see it live on stage how for one night I would be so engrossed in something that nothing else would matter…

Phantom of the Opera - the play 3 years ago

This is a beautiful play with unbelievable sets and costumes. I do believe that the singing gets to be a bit much though … I think they could have thrown in some spoken word. I’m glad I went and saw it, but wouldn’t particularly want to sit through it again.

    • Someone informed me that the reason they sing throughout the entire program is that it is an opera, not a play. So now I know … I guess I’m more of a “play” person, than an “opera” person.
