Freaking. Amazing.
If you haven’t seen it, you need to, because…whew.
Completely worth it.

8:00 pm on Mar. 13th, in San Antonio. I have no idea who the performers are, but I’m excited anyways. Woot!
Since I’m more likely to see this on tour than on Broadway, I went ahead and changed this goal to say “on stage”. When I do finally check this off I don’t want to confuse people into thinking I’ve been to New York or something.
It seems that Phantom will be going to San Antonio in February/March next year, and while it may not be ON Broadway, it’s good enough for me.
Eeee, I can’t wait!
Actually, I would be quite happy just to watch it on tour.
But someday I would like to go to New York, and since there are several musicals I really want to see, I would just have to stick around for a bit and watch them all!
when I was about 13 or 14. I saw it with Sarah Brightman as Christine. It was amazing. I LOVED it. We didn’t have the greatest seats, but still the show took my breath away. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see it again. Didn’t you love the movie, it seemed to me like watching it on stage, but with the BEST seats in the house!
I can remember when I was growing up turning up the phantom of the opera soundtrack… yes the one with sarah brightman… drowning out my mom in the background… and still today i am imagining how cool it would be to see it live on stage how for one night I would be so engrossed in something that nothing else would matter…
This is a beautiful play with unbelievable sets and costumes. I do believe that the singing gets to be a bit much though … I think they could have thrown in some spoken word. I’m glad I went and saw it, but wouldn’t particularly want to sit through it again.
