Curly dock grows everywhere. Chances are you’ve seen this little plant growing somewhere near you, because the only continent it doesn’t grow on is Antarctica. It’s also allegedly really high in iron, which is fabulous to know. I can always use help with my iron levels – what girl can’t? – and this site even has a recipe for curly dock crackers! I’ve been meaning to make curly dock flour for years, but it just always slipped by me. I was working; I was pregnant; I was busy with a new baby, and so on. This year I have a lot more freedom, as Shawn is 13 months old and counting. The boys would probably both enjoy helping me harvest the seeds, so this could be a family forage trip.

I hope the photo I posted is clear. I took it from the side yard and I’m not sure how well it shows up, as the seeds aren’t ripe in this picture. 2 years ago
