On Monday we read Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? and Find the Duck
DS still just likes flipping through the pages really fast and moving on to the next book, so we went through quite a few books. These are the ones he actually sat and listened to!
Right now my son is 11 months and I have another one on the way, but I’d like to read to them every day to nurture a love of books and to help with communication. I’ve done pretty well with my son all ready and started reading to him right when he was born. He is very interesetd in books, but lately he has more fun turning through all the pages in 30 seconds than actually being read to! And books with paper pages? Forget it! We have fun anyway and he really enjoys “touchy feely” books with interesting textures in them. I’m looking forward to the day when my children can enjoy the story itself, too.
