Just got back from a day of working at McDonalds, and my nails are still shiny from using my nail cream. Unfortunatly one snapped off, so I couldn’t put it down as a good day for nails :(

I bought a really nice nail kit today, which came with a nail file, a buffer, cuticle oil, and hand cream. The lady did it all on one finger nail and it looks amazing. I want my nails to always be so lovely!
Ugh. Not good. Well, I’ve learned that if I keep treating my nails like this (chewing them, bending them, using them as screwdrivers…) then they will always be too weak to grow out. They always break right when I’ve got them the perfect length.
Gotta use a strengthener and stop abusing my nails!
I’ve started keeping little nail kits by my computer, in my purse, and by my nightstand. Anywhere I tend to start biting them. Except in class, that would be weird if I started filing my nails in front of the professor…. hahah. Anyway, if I keep these kits everywhere, I have no excuse to tear my nails when I can clip or file them instead. It helps.
If you want to start your own nail kit, here are some things you can put in it:
nail clippers
soft & rough files
shine buffers
cuticle nippers
cuticle pushers or curette
orangewood sticks
Hope that helps!!!
Well, I took the polish off my nails yesterday. I’m starting to see a difference in the length, just by keeping them strong and filed smooth for a week. If I don’t file them, they get caught on things and they tear and break easily. Now I’ve just got to keep them long enough for another try at french tips.
I’m also looking for a nail strengthener to apply. Anyone know of anything that works?
Well, I’ve just got back from the salon where I had my nails done with my mom. I got a pedicure and a manicure both with french tips like I’ve always wanted. But the girls there didn’t have any cosmetology licenses at all, and they did a sloppy job. I’m really disappointed. It was really expensive, too! But anyway, if you don’t look too close I guess it’s alright. They’ll get fixed soon. =)
