So good for them and for me as well 1 month ago

Ideally, I’d like to do this in the am as soon as I get up because it wakes me up, but barring that, at least in the evening. Or both. Trust me, they never get enough.

For each week that I remember to walk my dogs every day, I will allows myself to buy something nice.

So things didn’t go as planned, my husband came home for lunch the other day, so they didn’t end up going for a walk with me. He took them later, but it wasn’t me, so it doesn’t count lol. Last night was my first walk with them. And today it’s raining, and they’re both whinning and won’t shut up… so i don’t think i’m going to reward them with a walk… maybe i’ll just take a walk in the rain to clear my head. Boys are having fun playing with cars… and i feel completely useless.

First Entry ever. 8 months ago

So I just signed up for 43Things, and I really do think it’s a great idea. I managed to get two good friends to sign up at the same time. Hopefully we can motivate each other to accomplish our goals and come up with new and exciting things to try. Today is day one. it’s 11:07 am. I have four hours to kill before I have to go to work again. So I thought I would start by having a nice refreshing shower, then taking my two wonderful dogs for a nice long walk. If our walk ends up being over an hour, then I guess i’ll have checked off two things today, waling the dogs, and exercising for an hour. w00t w00t. When I get back, I think i’ll have a nice healthy lunch… and maybe a nap, or work on my scrapbook. How’s that for a good start?

I'm getting into the habit 9 months ago

I don’t let myself think too hard about it. Jump out of bed, walk dogs. Come home and walk dogs. They’re thrilled and happy, and I’m starting to lose weight with the extra activity.

I did this all week and my dogs are thrilled 9 months ago

I don’t come home anymore to find random important papers I need all chewed up. And they seem calmer as well. Please Magda’s getting so much better about being around other dogs, especially when I praise her lovingly.

My ultimate goal is to make sure that they get two walks a day, although this isn’t always possible (this makes having a backyard a blessing and a curse). Still, especially the AM walks make me feel more steady in my day. I owe them one more walk today since we had to miss yesterday because of otrrential thunderstorms, but they’ll get it.

I've been a slacker all this week 10 months ago

And the sad part is I feel it too as I’m starting to get a little potbelly. Going to get back at it, especially in the evenings.

But a good faith effort into it 11 months ago

last week, but wasn’t quite there. This week will be better. I’ll leave my dog walking clothes where they’re easily accessible.

Strange 11 months ago

I was fine until the weekend, and then just sort of lost my rhythm. I think because it rained so hard on Friday, and I was going to take them on two sat. instead but something came up at work. Better luck this week.

No excuses 11 months ago

And god knows that they need it. They’ll certainly be a lot less insane or apt to fight with newspapers. Plus, it will be good for me to get some air as well.

For a while, I was alternating walking one of my two dogs with a neighbor, but now that the cold weather has come and I have been sick, no walks, except today.

When I put this thing on my list I only had one dog. Now I have two and it is impossible to walk them together. One is almost 11-years old and the other a very frisky 77-pound 1-year old.
