    Government interferance?! 2 weeks ago

I’ve mentioned before that I’m against it.

but I’m a little less against it than I thought.
I’m for gun regulations in respect to who can obtain them. Kids, convicts, there’s a whole ‘nother realm of this shit I didn’t think about.

Censorship in school libraries? Bomb manuals. That’s Cutie on Taylor’s most recent argument. And truth is, I’m not really down with angry, prepubescent 6th graders running around with The Anarchists Cookbook.

    shit like that.
    shit shit shit.
    thus concludes this goal.

I believe that PRISONS HURT MORE THAN THEY HELP!: and that people convicted of nonviolent crimes shouldn’t be jailed. Because the jail is a crime in itself.

    Here's something. 2 weeks ago

I’m a vegetarian (previously active animal rights activist).
Cutie on Taylor is a meat-eater.
and I cook him his meats.

    Love conquers all?
It’s not bandaging up those piglets, or giving cows a new outlook on slaughterhouses.

I’ll say it. I’m a hypocrite. I won’t even buy make-up that tests on bunnies, but when it comes to Cutie on Taylor, I’m prancing up and down the butcher aisle at Jewels.

    BUT!
I believe that GETTING FORCEFUL WITH ONE’S BELIEFS IS A JAG-BAG THING TO DO: It would be wrong of me to force my vegetarian ways on him. He’s a man. And an athlete. He wants his meat. We split our grocery bill. He buys (half) my soy-nuggets and Silk Milk, I’ll fry him up some pork chops. But just for him. Because I hardcore love him.

believe that GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE IS WRONG: I’m against it. I would vote ‘yes’ on abortion rights, gun rights, gay marriage, lowering the drinking age, etc, etc – just because I believe that people have the right to make their own decisions (even if I think it’s wrong.) For example, abortion makes me pretty sad (I’m not entirely against it, but I am in most cases) but I would vote to make it legal because I believe it’s the family’s or woman’s choice, not the White House or who ever else is creating and passing these laws.

"Standing for nothing, you'll fall for anything" 2 months ago

    That’s a flatfoot 56 lyric.

I really need to take a minute to define what I believe and value. It will probably take me a couple posts to get to a point that speaks from my heart (of today) and covers all the bases.

I believe in GOD: Not entirely the Christian God, but being brought up in a culture submerged with Christian principles, I’m sure I’m still clinging on to some aspects of Christianity. I believe there is a God, who created everything, who loves us. I believe EVERYONE is saved.

I believe in ANIMAL RIGHTS: This October will be the third year I’ve been a vegetarian, if I can ever drop my love of cheese I’ll be on the path to veganism. I believe that animals should be RESPECTED – not eaten, tested on, used for [abusive] entertainment, or used for their product.

I believe in FAMILY FIRST: I’ll take care of my family till I die. I always have their backs. My family includes my immediate four, my animals, my extended, and my close friends. In that order.

I believe in LOVE: and that it can make everything worthwhile.

I believe in PUNK ROCK: [For me] it’s the only lifestyle that makes sense. I can’t live without the tunes, the shows, the punk-rock-confidence. It’s obviously more than the music – which is a concept people who aren’t in it don’t seem to grasp. It’s an attitude and a way of thinking. It’s a unity that breeds individuality.

I believe in BEING IN LOVE: There’s a huge difference for me between ‘love’ and ‘in love.’ Even in a romantic relationship, ‘love’ is first, but ‘in love’ is brutal. ‘In love’ is when you think of life with out the other person it sucks balls, it’s when both people illuminate each other – and build each other up. I don’t use ‘in love’ lightly.

I believe SEX SHOULD ONLY HAPPEN WHEN THERE’S LOVE: I believe people should only have sex when they’re in love (but not necessarily marriage). I’m hardcore against casual fucking.

I believe in BEING AN INDEPENDENT WOMAN: Men are nice to have around, and I’d love to marry one and have him for keeps. But I want to remember that I can exist without one.

I believe in MONOGAMY: to the full definition of the word. When I commit to a relationship, I make sure I like that person enough to ONLY HAVE EYES FOR THEM. It’s easy for me, it just the kind of mindset I have. I believe cheating is inexcusable – and cheating consists of doing anything (sexual/romantic) that you wouldn’t want you’re partner to see. If anyone cheats on me, they’re gone. I believe that if I ever fall for someone hard enough to marry them, and they die – I won’t get remarried.

I believe that BUNNIES ARE THE FREAKING CUTEST ANIMALS EVER and COPS ARE CROOKS.

I am so used to being dutiful and respecting my family’s opinions about things that I usually don’t voice my differences. When I have differences, I keep them to myself and subsume my difference in order to avoid confrontation. I loathe confrontation—and I never want to seem disrepectful. But, I do sometimes have real differences. And whether or not I can articulate them, which brings up another matter, I should respect my opinions first.

When I do mention that I have a different opinion, usually I am railroaded into saying yes, they are right. How stupid of me. But this makes me feel like a hypocrite, like a child. I should make a decision, stick to my guns, and be able to defend it, while maintaining respect and civility and dialogue. But I am weak.
