i’ve got a friend who is getting a cat with her boyfriend, a friend who just got pregnant with her second child, and a friend who is moving.

It’s the only way I can keep up with what is going on. And I only have blogs for a few of them.
Got together twice with a best friend from college and we are going to get together very soon with another best friend of ours from college hopefully next week.
Also got together with about 7 friends last night for drinks, snacks and a movie.
My aunt and cousin and my cousin’s girlfriend are coming to New York next month so I am going to meet them for dinner after my class.
I am trying to get better at emailing and calling him. I feel like we only talk or see each other like three times a year.
I emailed my aunt today to get the scoop on what has been happening with her and my cousins. But she was in Florida golfing so she didn’t have too much info for me.
So I have to write down all the stuff I found out about through small talk so I don’t forget.
I thought about a crazy notion of writing a book about my family. Not that anyone else would want to read it but it would really help me to learn all about them. I’ve wanted to write a family history ever since I got interested in genealogy. And that came about, oddly enough, from reading about a character in an Anne Rice novel who kept track of the whole family – all the branches – ever since she became a vampire way back in pre-Christian times.
One of my best friends just had a death in the family so I sent the family a sympathy card. I want to send another just to her as well. And my cousin just got married in a small private ceremony in Jamaica or maybe Puerto Rico (can’t remember) so I just got an invite for a party in January for them. I have neglected one of my aunts though – my uncle recently died and I haven’t even sent a card or anything. I wasn’t close to them – hardly have seen them more than three times in the last twenty years – but still I should have sent her something by now.
