I’ve been dabbling in glass art a bit and it really stimulates my creative juices. I’m seeking out ideas.

I think it would be a great thing to learn!
I live in Naperville, IL and I am interested in learning glassblowing. Does anyone have an opinion on where is the best place to start learning this?
I think this is one of the next steps to grow my art. There’s a school nearby if I can save the money and find the time.
Well, my life is pretty boring as of now, and I really want to spice it up a bit, and I though glass blowing would be a fun hobby and i love creating things, so, it all fit. I don’t know where to start though…like for classes and stuff.
I was watching a something on tv about galss blowing and it interestd me very much. I have always been interested in art but this really struck me….I want to do this!
One day a friend of mine mentioned a workshop in a nearby city, said we should go learn glassblowing. After all, our friends have their musical instruments and all that other rad art stuff for which I don’t have the patience, why shouldn’t we do something? I jumped on the idea, but being poor college kids we decided we couldn’t afford it. So I read up on it and foolishly decided I’d set up my own studio in the garage. I’m borrowing furnace plans from the metalcaster hobbyists one can find online, tools from a bit of metalworking background, and inspiration from the ancients who did it with wood. Poor planning? We’ll see. Bad idea? I think not. I’ll find out either way if DIY glassblowing is feasible!
Glassblowing used to be my dad’s job so as a kid I learned how. I don’t remember how to make some of the things anymore but I have been meaning to learn again.
