I just realised that this goal was on my list and looking back it was indeed the best b’day I’ve ever had. It must have been subconsciously communicated to the Universe and did translate to reality.

After all the years of shedding tears on my b’day, and having people selfishly plan it to their benefit and convenience, this year a special person made such great efforts to make sure it was a fabulous b’day for me. How thankful and grateful I am for this arrangement I cannot express, but my smile throughout the night would have said it all I hope.

After a whirlwind of events in 2010 and while I trekked on the hurdle-filled journey of my life, I realised who my true friends were… who I could ring at 4am and would still be around for me… and that is when I decided that instead of putting myself in a bubble with someone who truly did not have a care in the world for my feelings, I wanted to be surrounded with people who genuinely care for me and had my best intentions at heart… and this special soul made that possible for me. He has proven to me that it doesn’t take years of knowing someone to want to go that extra mile to see a smile on their faces and I adore him for that. He got in touch with my closest friends and planned the entire night for me. I had never partied on my b’day and this year wanted it to be different.. and we did. Partied till the sun came out.. everyone had a great time and he even got me my favourite cake which was cut at the stroke of midnight. Amazing to say the least… and definitely unforgettable.

I have said thank you to him several times but if he gets to read this.. I wanna say a BIG THANK YOU once again. You have made one of my 2010 goals possible. 2 years ago
