How to go to bed early
How I did it: I'm taking a cough medicine that knocks me out, so that helps. I leave my tv on though, but it comforts me as I fall asleep. I can only hope that in the future, I can fall asleep on my own without it and cut out the bad habits of leaving the tv on or letting my lit candles burn all night long.
Lessons & tips: Read a book. That'll make you drop off to sleep.

I realize I haven’t consistently gotten a good nights sleep since I was 14. That is about half my life.

I haven’t been going to bed till 6 am because its summer. For some reason I just stay up all night. I need to define this better though. I want to go be asleep by 10:30 every night for 15 days. That’s when I will have this down pat. These days have to be consistant though. I’m starting today. Wish me luck!

i’ve almost completely broken the habit of staying up too late – thanks for flylady & getting old. and i really want to do this so i can get up early enough to exercise in the morning & have a nice breakfast/read the paper before work & school. and i need to get more sleep so that i can keep losing weight.
i’m kind of inspired by the zenhabits suggestion of being a morning person…

I’m getting close. I find it really helps to have my blinds open all the way before I go to bed so that in the morning I get the sunlight hitting me. The earlier I wake up, the more tired I am at the end of the day.

in order to get up at 5.20 for yoga. It took a while to get used to, but having to get up early means I am forced to sleep early. Been doing it for a year now and feel great!

I’m getting better at this, but its still hard. Hopefully one day I can have a job which allows me to say up till 3 and then I won’t have to worry about it, but for now I’m still trying for 10.

Last night I was in bed by 8:30 and sleeping by about 9:15. I think this is the earliest that I have gone to bed in a very long time. But I don’t think my body is used to me sleeping so early, so I woke up at 4 and was up for about 2 hours iiiickk. Oh well, I feel so rested :)
