clean out all the boxes I have stashed all over my house

got on a roll after putting together our new CD storage unit, and proceeded to clear one of my boxes that held CDs.

I am grateful, but I really need to tackle my own clutter.

I have been accumulating boxes of stuff with every move I’ve made since I started college. And I’ve moved a lot, so at this point, those boxes are taking over my life. I can’t use my home office, which is intended to be where I start my massage business, because it is full of boxes. I’ve made a deal with my husband that we each do a ‘project’ every day we have off work. On the top of the project list is to clean out at least one box. Trying to do more than that at a time is overwhelming, since the whole reason this stuff is still in boxes is because we don’t really need it, but I haven’t been able to get rid of it. I’ve done a few of the easy ones, but my husband is the one who is really good at throwing stuff away, but he hasn’t done any yet. We are house hunting right now for our first house, and I really don’t want to haul all these boxes when we move. So my goal is to get them all cleaned out by the time we find a house. Or January, whichever is soonest.
