I plan to go to the Melting Pot.
I love cheese. I love chocolate.
We used to do the oil-meat fondue at home (my mom got a set for Christmas), which is fun, but can be messy, and you don’t overeat as there are waiting times between the bite-sized bits of meat.
I had my first cheese fondue (cheese-tomato-herbs) in a Swiss restaurant and we had a chocolate fondue as dessert. We’ve also done the chocolate one at home (they sell kits in our supermarket, it’s basically just melting a bit of chocolate and dipping fruit).
I’ve given a few chocolate fondue sets as presents for Christmas as well, and they seem to be popular :)
Since I’m temporarily off dairy due to digestive problems, I’m going to have to put this goal on hold temporarily.
I was taken for fondue on my birthday, and it was tons of fun. Great food (the desserts were completely amazing), great service, and a really nice, romantic atmosphere for a birthday date. Loved it!
My favourite foods are cheese and chocolate but I have never tried fondue. This must be rectified!
We’ve been doing this at home as far back as I can remember—a cheese fondue and cooking beef and chicken in oil. I like the cheese best. The meat ends up too greasy for my liking; grilled is better.
We went to The Melting Pot and ate for 3 hours!!! I can’t believe a meal could stretch out that long but it did. The chocolate fondue was great but we all ended up with food poisoning from the meats being improperly stored and inadequately cooked. It was terrible. That restaurant was closed down by the health department shortly afterwards. Scary!
CropTillDawn~ Trix are for kids!!!
So now I have to try the yummy chocolate one.
I love fondue especially chocolate ones.
My brother and mom gave me a little fondue pot as a gift for completing my student directorial. :)
