pet a rhino

This is something I have thought about for a while but never put here of course. My dad worked at the zoo for a little while and he use to get up close to the one that was there but so far I have not had that chance.

Maybe next time the local zoo has the adopt an animal day I will try and see if they let us get that close. Doesn’t hurt to try and even if not the money still goes to a good place. :)

...when I was a volunteer. Of course I was behind a fence and I don’t think he even noticed that I was patting his side, but I was so happy! They have always been one of my top 5 favorite wild animals.

Thanks to my brother-in-law, my wife and I spent an amazing day at an animal conservation where he works. We were able to get up close with many animals, but the best part was being able to pet not only a baby rhino and several adults, but we also got in a pen with and was able to pet two cheetas. I hope to have a few pictures on Flickr soon.
