I have been walking for the last 6-years. I’ve lost 325-lbs I’m at around 295 now. I still have about 40-lbs to go. I started (1-year ago) to do Queen Ann Hill it takes 8-mins to do now not the 35-40 mins when I started. I do this 2-times a week. Most times I just walk to pike place market and back home its 2-miles. Now I tell you this so that you too can do this. It just take time and you must find a really good pair of walking shoes. You must make time to do this daily. You must start out very slow that’s right SLOW and work your way up to what ever time you want. I has taken me over 6-years to get up to more than hour of hard walking. I just didn’t go I can do this and start out walking for 40-mins. I started at 10-mins than 20-mins up to 40 mins every other day for 3-years before I could do 45-mins to 1-hours a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon and 1 in the evening. How to walk an hour a day
How I did it: Since i wanted to lose weight, i got into a gym and started with 30 min. a day until i was able to walk for 2 hours and more right now :) I was motivated to walk daily to get into a better health and shape!
Lessons & tips: Cardio in general gives you amazing amounts of energy so i suggest you walk in the morning! You also need to drink 10 cups of water and more since with sweating your losing alot of water from your body.

I just started (8-weeks ago) to do the Hills around my home In seattle Like the Queen ann Hill up pass safeway than back to my home it takes about 45mins to do. I do this 2-4times a week and sometimes 2-times a day I just started this. Most times I just go to harborview by 1st ave and denny. I go up denny to broadway and john than to 9th and jefferson than I wait for about a hour than I go back to 1st and denny where I live. It takes about 57mins one way. Now I tell you this so that you too can do this. It just take time and you must find real good shoes and socks and make time to do this daily. You must start out very slow that’s right SLOW and work your way up to A hour. I has taken me 5years to get up to more than hour of hard walking. Walking an hour every day is veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery healthy .. apart from maintaining ur weight , n losing calories n all,, its more of doin Something instead of sitting around doing nothing..well not for me cuz i dont have time 2 sit around doing nothing .. but wen i do (do something) ..this something would b activity-less like studying..or reading.. even small things..like surfing the net.. o well..i guess thats something to do with the environment.. my country is more of a dry regional country ..so we dont have this COOL weather or this lovely landscapes..O No..!! So being active (walking) in a hot weather is Very GORGEOUS- Not~ o well.. i hope i do walk daily while its still the end of autumn!;)
