go to Wacken Open Air Metal Festival

Preparing for a good load of fun…
My dude friend also got a job, which means that he’ll be able to afford his plane ticket ;)

YES! I received the notification e-mail last night =D

I have been saving up for almost two months, and I finally have enough money together to go there and have the time of my life! The tickets are ordered, and if everything goes smooth, I’ll be attending the 20th Wacken Open Air in Schleswig-Holstein! =D

I’ve got my mother’s permission to go if my boyfriend comes with me. He’s creaming over it, and my grandparents have offered us to stay at their place in Germany a week before, so that we can visit them and then take off to Schleswig-Holstein by train (possibly the Metal Train!).
Now, all I have to do is save up money for tickets! I should have enough by the end of November, but I’m really scared that tickets will be sold out by then… It’s Wacken’s 20th anniversary, and I’m sure people will already be fighting to get them.

oh my god it is the happiest place on earth! I had a fantastic time last week and can’t wait to go again. Next year is the 20th festival so it will be one huge party. Great bands, great people, beautiful place. Metal heaven.

I’ve booked the trip, can’t wait to go. I’ll be camping with my best friend and am preparing for lots of good music, good shows & good times. I’m particularly excited about Carcass and rather impressed that Gorerotted are playing at such a huge festival, saw them at my local a year or so ago and they were awesome.

Hey, you know what’s nice about Wacken? FUCKING EVERYTHING. For those of you who can make it, I’ll see you in the beer tents. I’ll be the guy with the long hair and beard.

It’s sold out for 2008. Not sure what to do yet, whether I should still try and get a ticket or leave it. There are only a handfull of bands on the bill that I like. The Hellfest lineup is way better!

Definetly worth doing!! Wacken is an other world, if i can i’ll go again next year \m/
