Saw Spam-a-lot when we went to NYC in December 07!
How to attend a broadway play
How I did it: I was aware there were students fare. So I went to the theater in the morning. I got there 30 minutes before opening. Then, I got tickets for half the price; but we were seated far from the stage.
Lessons & tips: Get there earlier.

DoctorTeeth dreads a wedding he should be excited about...
On my trip to New York City back in September, my wife and I saw two Broadway plays. The first was Wicked, which was much better than I thought it would be, and the second was Spamalot, which was also better than I thought it would be but not by much. Both shows were entertaining and fun, although I don’t think they were really enhanced by being seen “on Broadway”. I like theater, and would have been happy to see many, many shows when I was in New York City, but going to Broadway was never as big a deal for me as it is for other people. That being said: I enjoyed myself at both shows, and would probably go and see another play there if/when I visit again.
I finally was able to go visit NYC a few weeks back and while I was there I saw RENT. And it was amazing! The whole city was amazing, I loved every minute I was there.
If you go to NYC, I highly highly recommend seeing a professional broadway play, most of the 39 broadway theaters offers lotteries 2 hours before each show in which you can get front row seats for as little as $20! I had tickets ahead of time and it was so much fun, wish I lived in the city. :)
Eleanor's Trousers is starting 101 in 1001 days on 08/06/08
I saw “Proof” on the Great White Way while in town on a road trip. Good show. Pricey, but a good time.
