My boyfriend surprised me to a 4 day getaway in Paris on valentines day. Was amazing!! I was completely in love with the Eiffel Tower and had the most romantic val day ever! ALthough i would suggest going when it’s a bit warmer – It was freezing cold and it’s hard to concentrate on the view from the eiffel tower when there’s ice on the steel and you can’t feel your toes!

...if you want to have a romantic date in the traditional sense (a main component of which is “dining in a good restaurant”). We gave up on Parisian food after having spent $60 USD on utter crap (and having seen the same being served in all other restaurants we passed). We may have had better luck in the Latin Quarter, but that determination will have to wait for our next trip!
Apart from the relatively disappointing culinary aspect of our three-night stay in Paris, we very much enjoyed the city. During the daytime, you will need to ‘outrun’ the throngs of tourists, to find a quieter section of riverbank to ‘get cozy’ on – well worth the extra effort. The little garden at the west end of the Ile de la Cite can be quite nice.
However, Paris is a city of the night, and we loved the night views from the top of the Arc de Triomphe, and the light show on the Eiffel Tower – very memorable.
If you go, sleep during the day, and enjoy the night.
...
We have our hotel booked (the Hilton L’Arc de Triomphe – a ‘Paris Hilton,’ if you will…ha..ha..) for two nights, and I have set up a fairly busy itinerary. Fun!
...if only I can convince my husband to cough up the $500 for the round-trip on the Eurostar…
I am not sure if this experience could compete with our romantic dates in NYC, though…

definitely worth doing, Paris is such a romantic city…
I spent about 4 hours at the airport in Paris for a connecting flight to Africa. During that time, I walked around, attempted to speak French, eat and did some shopping.
It was fun. I dated myself.
I even saw some adorable kids in the airport that I wanted to claim as my own which is something I have never ever thought of!
Most of the guys I know are CHEAP. What gives? And..they want me to spend everything on them. So, this is why I usually do not have boyfriends because I have to be around men who do not want to spend money.
Then those with money tend to be really arrogant or prefer being with someone who will put up with their craziness. Not me!
So..I will take myself on a date to Paris!
This goal is done son! =)
I was just thinkin… If I can complete this goal, it would, by default, possibly knock down a few of my other gols as well…
Going on a romantic date in Paris could take out
a) seduce a hot, sensual Parisian man
b) go on a date
c) (this goal), and if all of these were the case – then that could so totally complete:
d) make 2007 my best year yet
Now if only it were that simple…

I love this romantic goal. My dream is being proposed “again” in Paris. Eiffel Tower or Seine River… I suggested the plan to my husband, but he hasn’t agreed with me yet. I’ll try to persuade him!
