I’ve always struggled with my weight. Blame it on bad genes, growing up with a “meat and potatoes” diet, and lately health issues. But really there are no excuses. It is my choice. About 4 years ago, I really focused on myself and my health. I learned taekwando, started tracking my food with Weight Watchers, and felt great. It was the first time in my life where I was wearing sexy clothes and looking good, but most importantly I felt empowered and healthy.
Recently I’ve lost that feeling and somehow lost the motivation. I’ve been struggling with back problems and illnesses, and can’t seem to get out of this unhealthy funk. How did I once again get back to a size 10-12 and stop caring about myself? How did I get back to this place, when before I felt so strong and healthy? Now I feel down on myself, frustrated, and depressed. But this frame of mind isn’t doing me any good. It’s time for change.
I know it won’t be easy with the holidays right around the corner, but I can’t procrastinate anymore. Usually if I’m even just proactive about my health, I at least mentally feel better about myself. Tomorrow I will hit the gym and start tracking my food again. It’s time for change!

i am repulsed by myself. i’m 5’4 and weigh in at 132. it’s so disgusting. i’d rather be bony than meaty. i’m starting to become anorexic, and i’m happy about that. can’t wait to shock everyone in march….

My body disgusts me.
I’m 4’9 and weight about 115.
It’s absolutely sickening.

I had a baby, lost the weight, and then gained most of it back. I am making a total life change, and this is one of them.

So far coworkers have said I look like I have lost weight and have noticed my pants aren’t as tight. I’m going to weigh in this weekend to see if it is actually true that I have lost weight.

Progress note

So far I have lost about 15 pounds – gone from 142 to 127, but I have been stuck at 127 for a couple weeks.
I lost the first ten pounds very easily by doing the South Beach Diet menus. After two weeks you are supposed to transistion back to eating a few fruits and carbs – that’s where I got lost. How much is a few, and which ones… the diet is very flexible, but also very vague about this step. So I’m still sort of on step one with some cheating.

Well, I am going back to only eating sweets once a week and replacing sugar products with fruit to get my sugar kick. Last time I did this for medical reasons I lost a ton of weight. This time I’m making it more of a lifestyle change. So far, I have been eating strawberries, pears and fruit cocktail to get my sugar fix.

This will take commitment to get up off my lazy butt. So I may feel better about myself and have more energy. I am looking for healthy and speedy ways to loose weight in a goal of 30 days.
