Today was the day to get started. I’ve gathered all the various piles of stuff from around the house into one place and started sorting them out this afternoon. I had absolutely no idea I’d accumulated so much paperwork. From appearances most has already been dealt with in some way but still needs to be filed and put away for possible future reference.
What I’ve done for the time being is grouping similar papers (bank statements, telephone bills, insurance papers etc.) and saving them temporarily in plastic file folders until I get to the next round when I sort more specifically, throw out what I don’t need and file what I do need.
At least that everything that needs to be together is starting to come together. To be continued tomorrow and/or the day after…

As part of my decluttering campaign, I need to organise all the paperwork I’ve got scattered all around the house. I made a start earlier in the year and got most of the financial stuff up to date, now I need to tackle all the other stuff like handouts, letters, announcements, instruction sheets/books and semi-official stuff.

I really want to reduce the amount of papers I keep, so my plan is to go through my folders and shred everything I can – this is how I’m going to spend my weekend: sorting and shreding :)

The book that I bought is giving me some ideas on how to move forward.
Still have a lot of papers to organize, and I keep procrastinating on this goal!

The file folders, and book are going to help me to organize the papers.
It just feels insurmountable! There are so many papers to organize, not enough time to do it, and I just don’t want to get started, because I know that I can’t finish the project in one sitting.
I’m going to keep trying the step-by-step approach, enough though it’s such a slow way of doing things.

I have been organizing my favourite folders on the computer because they are my “paperles” folders, and they also have information on how to organize paperwork.
It seemed like quite the task to organize the links into folders, but I’m glad that I did it, because from doing it, I now know that I have several projects on the go, that need to be finished.

about six weeks ago, with various compartments for all of the different kinds of paperwork relating to my business.
However, it is still sat there empty, whilst I continue to stuff everything in a large manila envelope.
One day I’m going to empty the envelope and sort out the contents. One day. Just not today.

There’s such a mess in this room…
I kinda feel like I’m drowning in tons of papers.. So one of the first things I’m going to do right after my graduation and university entering exams (and after a few sprees – celebration is necessary:D) is to clean up the mess. Sort the things I’ll need and throw away the unnecessary garbage.

... not close to finished, but made a dent in it. Got rid of most of the paper clutter that I hadn’t gotten around to stuffing in the box. I must’ve been practicing horrible posture, because my upper back is killing me now. :/
Need a filing cabinet bad.

MusesFigment with enough operations I can live forever and look good too.
Remember to fill the bottom drawers first so the cabinet doesn’t fall on you. It is easy to store your books there so you can alphabetize using the top drawer for files.
Put like files together
Bank Statements by year
Bills Statements by company name
Credit Card Receipts
Credit Card Statements
House
Ideas
Instructions
IRS
Medical
etc….... Now it is very easy to find anything because it is where it belongs. Whoo Hoo! Current bills get filed as they are paid.
