Whew! What a relief. There aren’t any more Q-tips in the house, I’ve been clean for 5 days now and my ears feel a whole lot better. One big pointer I have is: out of sight, out of mind. Get your addiction-inducing substance out of the house. Once you’ve lost your easy access, the cravings fade fairly quickly. I’m think I’m now poised to attack some of my other dependancies.

So there’s only the one box of Q-tips left. I swear that I will not buy another. Honestly, this whole business is a nightmare – I’m a total hypochondriac and I’ve become so preoccupied with my ears that I’m convinced my hearing’s worsened, that they hurt all the time…but I’m on the road to ear health.

They say it’s terrible for your ears. Not only do you need that protective earwax, you can poke and damage sensitive internal ear thingies. Why must I do it; why does it feel so good???
