be dorky and proud!

lol so embarasinggg but i had to post that picture of me doing my dorkiest face and wearing my dorky glasses that i LOVE by the way and never take off. We should be proud to be dorks…dorks are awesome!

So geek is in. I’m torn. I thinks real geeks are great (that is, not those who merely use their money and practiced fashion-savvyness to buy fashionably unfashionable clothes and accessories). But this trend towards the geek has me asking whether or not I am one. Who cares, really. But what prompts this is the following incident: an aquaintence recently accused me of being falsely demure, cultivated, quiet. He said I should embrace mediocrity. Not be afraid to seem dumb, uncouth, etc. He was definitely superimposing an agenda of his onto me, but I think I should give it a try anyhow. I like my mysterious-sophisticate side, but I also want to give all that other stuff in there some air-time. I call it: dork.
