I don’t think this goal can ever be considered “done” but I have helped people learn to fish for themselves, and I will continue to do so—so I think I earned my “completed” stamp for this goal ;o)

Do Your Homework
How do you do fast, cheap market research? How do you find out whether or not the product will sell before you get into it? Before embarking on any new business venture, considerable time must be spent in research. Your payoff will be in excess of ten to one in time and money saved or earned. For every dollar, for every hour that you put into research, you’re going to save ten or twenty or thirty dollars or hours later on. So here’s what you do.

Check Every Detail
Number one is find out every detail of the product or business. Study it carefully. There is a very famous story about Walter Chrysler, who formed Chrysler Corporation. What he did is he went out and bought several of the most popular selling cars in America. He then took them home to his garage and took them apart down to the very last nut and bolt. He then put them back together again. By the time he had done that with several automobiles, he had some very, very good ideas on how to create a car that was superior to any other car in America. He went out, formed Chrysler Motors and the rest is history.

Research Your Product Carefully
Number two, before you embark on a new business venture, read trade magazines, articles and stories on the business, industry or occupation. Here is a piece of advice that is worth its weight in gold. At every major library, there is what is called the periodicals index. The periodicals index lists every article that has been written on every subject in every publication in America. The librarian can guide you to the periodicals index. There’s one for every year, and as publications expand, sometimes there’s one for every three months. This index is now available on the Internet as well.

Take Advantage of the Information Available
You can go back and you can retrieve, usually from microfiche or from the library files, all the articles that have been written on a particular product or service in the last week, last month, last year, last five years, and you can make yourself an expert on a particular subject area by using the periodicals index. I know many consultants, when their clients ask them about a particular subject, go down to the library, or onto the Internet, and they go through the periodicals index. They become extremely well-informed on what is going on in that area, and then they sell that advice, sometimes for hundreds of dollars an hour, to their client. So check the periodicals index. Check the Internet. Become intimately familiar with the business before you begin.

Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do before you start any business:

First, find out every detail of the product or business before you invest any serious money in it. All of this information is available if you will just seek it out.

Second, do your research in depth. Sometimes, superficial research indicates that it is a good business but in-depth research can show you that it is not a good business at all. Be careful.

by my entries this is an important goal for me. I have designed companies that would do this however start up capital has been a major hurdle.

I’m taking a very different view point now. Direct marketing is making the new millionaires in our economy. It is time to find the vehicle that best suits my beliefs and use the power of synergy to become independently wealthy while helping others achieve their goals.

Having been comfortable and then losing everything is a humbling experience to say the least. If it were not for the kindness of others while I was recovering from a major illness I would have ended up homeless or worse.

I do not take that gift lightly in the least. My faith in God and humankind is very high.

Now, with the help of other like minded/spirited people, is the time for me to repay or ‘pay forward’ all of the gifts I have been given over the years.

Divatek will train people basic computer literacy to be able to get a good paying job. ALPS will train people to be in the mortgage industry as loan officers and loan processors plus give them employment opportunities.

I have been blessed with a vision and an entrepreneurial spirit. Now I will pray for partners to help me make these dreams come true.

is difficult in the best of situations but the struggles of a single parent trying to do it all can be a daunting life.

My focus is to help single parents(especially women) find a way to provide a safe home for their children and pay for it with their learned skills for the marketplace.

My corporation is family friendly and allows mothers to grow and develop professionally at their own pace.

This will keep me busy for centuries. ;)

entailed putting together a training class for people to learn the mortgage business and a corporation designed for small mortgage brokers to have independent contract processors to avoid having to hire people full time until their business warranted that.

It was very blessed in that I trained 15 people how to process mortgage loans, had an investor,a lawyer give me a corporation and a client.

It was designed to let mothers earn money from a home office without having to put their children in daycare. It is an excellent plan.

However I let others who did not know my business start making decisions because I really wasn’t quite well enough to run the day to day operation.

As quickly as it opened it closed due to my health issues.

The point is this business was blessed. Even though it did not work at that time is no reason not to open again now that I am well…and wiser ;)

has cost me alot emotionally and financially.

One of my strongest abilities is to mentor and encourage others.I had forgotten how much pleasure this gives me.

It is time to get serious about my corporation and stop chasing other’s dreams…that has been a total waste of my natural resources.

ventures have not been as blessed as my projects I do for love.

This definitely falls into that category. They say do what you love and the money will follow. i hadn’t really taken that to heart until recently…I thought work and play were seperate.

In reality the only true thing that makes you successful is not the amount of money you have in the bank but the amount of love you have in your heart for how you are spending your precious time.
