Meet Jo Rowling

I’ve already seen and been in the same room as Jo Rowling at An Evening With Harry, Carrie, and Garp in the summer of 2006, but I have never actually met her. Jo is my heroine and role model, and her books are my obsession.

I’ve met a lot of pretty famous people—and by that I mean mostly “famous” authors, because I’m a reader (and writer) first and foremost. Rowling was one of the nicest and, well, the most famous, though I met her years ago when she was first picking up momentum in the book world, and only for a minute or two at that. By all means, go for it, although it’s a lot more difficult to get a hold of her now that she’s not touring; she’s just doing events, as far as I’ve heard. Good luck!
